ARCANA STUDIO
100 Girls #7 $2.95
The final issue of the first story arc of one the best indie comics going. Can’t wait!
BOOM! STUDIOS
Jeremiah Harm #1 $3.99
No idea what this is, but I like the name, and in combination with “BOOM! STUDIOS” it takes Best Title of the Week. Might even pick it up if it looks good.
CHECKER BOOK PUBLISHING GROUP
Alien Legion Set $54.85
I’m going to have to pull my floppies of this series one of these days (both volumes) as I’ve yet to be able to justify the pricey trades.
DARK HORSE COMICS
Conan Ltd Variant Cvr #24 $2.99
This is Tony Harris’ nude cover, right? Some slick marketing on DH’s part, “accidentally” running it in the back of Demons of Khitai #3 a few months back. Well played, Mr. Allie.
DC COMICS
Dmz #4 $2.99
Jonah Hex #4 $2.99
Showcase Presents House Of Mystery Vol 1 TPB $16.99
I can smell “One Year Later” at this point! DMZ is on the chopping block this week. I’ve liked it more than I expected to, but that bar was set rather low, so it’ll hinge on a gut reaction to the cover, I think. Depending on the size of this week’s haul, HoM may become my first Showcase!
DEVILS DUE PUBLISHING
GI Joe Americas Elite #8 $2.95
Man, that Snake Eyes mini really fizzled out at the end, didn’t it? Disappointing. The main series has remained pretty steady, though.
EVIL TWIN COMICS
Action Philosophers World Domination Handbook $2.95
The thing I love most about this series is that it’s always a solid read. I have to actually make time for an issue, unnable to just blow through it quickly like 80% of my pull list.
IMAGE COMICS
Bomb Queen #1 (Of 4) $3.50
C’mon, Jimmie Robinson. Don’t let me down!
MARVEL COMICS
Black Widow 2 #5 (Of 6) $2.99
Franklin Richards Son Of A Genius Everybody Loves Franklin $2.99
New Thunderbolts #18 $2.99
Son Of M #3 (Of 6) $2.99
Young Avengers #10 (resolicited) $2.99
Black Widow‘s really losing steam for me. Feels a little too connected to the MU this time around, and Daredevil just feels out of place with the tone of the story whenever he pops up. I am looking forward to Brubaker and Lark’s take on him in his own book, though.
VIPER COMICS
Middleman Vol 1 TPB $9.95
Middleman Vol 2 #1 The Entering Dragon Conundrum $0.99
That’s a pretty tempting combo to see if this series’ buzz was legit.

what’d you end up thinking about the latest DMZ? personally i thought this was the best issue yet… not sure about you but i’m digging this title so far.
I picked it up today but haven’t read it yet; a great cover and a reasonable pile of comics kept the axe at bay. It’s tricky because I want to like it, but Wood’s work has yet to really click with me so I’m leery, possibly judging it more harshly than I should. Knowing my obsessiveness, I figure I’m onboard through this arc before making a final judgement.
Ended up grabbing that Showcase, too, and have only flipped through it but it looks great!
