Mission Accomplished, Coach!

Isaac @ Trophy Time The only thing cooler than handing out obligatory trophies to a group of kids who actually earned them, is having your son be one of those kids! (That's the trophy in the brown paper bag there, not the heirloom Gonzalez 40, thank you!) The Pee Wee Marlins' Tee Ball season came to a fantastic end this past weekend and they played their best game yet, hands down, on offense and defense. Even better, they did it against the Pee Wee Mets, the only other team I felt was as organized and, if I may say so myself, well-coached as we…

Rebuilding my platform, perhaps…?

NOTE: I re-posted this to test out the x-posting to LiveJournal feature. For those who want to comment without setting up a Vox account, now you can! a little bit louder I hit 13 on Monday night, a last -minute call as I was working late, catching up on post-BEA stuff, and decided it would be a good time to test out my latest poem, Truth is an Olympic Gymnast. Most of them weren't terribly obnoxious -- if anything, Mets fans were worse, especially with the unnecessarily crude "Yankees suck!" chant. It's long past time to get over the inferiority complex and act like we believe we belong on…

On Brooms and Pink Slips

NY Daily News: Sunday, May 19 Tonight, tonight, tonight!  You have to figure, even if John Maine unexpectedly flames out and the Yankees light him up, the Mets should be able to do twice as much damage to Tyler Clippard and their beleagured bullpen.
