Five Things: Moving Day
I’m still not sure what I’m planning to do with my Twitter presence, but I’ve decided to make a related jump and move my newsletter from Revue (now owned by you-know-who) over to Substack.
Every platform comes with its pros and cons, and the only way to not be a hypocrite is to just not be online at all. I’ve chosen this particular compromise and reserve the right to change my mind at some point down the road.
If you were an active subscriber at Revue, you don’t have to do anything; I’ve migrated my entire newsletter archive and added you to the mailing list. You don’t have to give you-know-who a single click-through!
Alternatively, if Substack is a deal-breaker, no hard feelings. Unsubscribe over there, and I hope we run into each other elsewhere on this crazy series of tubes — like maybe here, where every issue of the newsletter along with nearly 20 years of other online writing lives?
So, poke around and see what you think — the Substack Reader app is pretty slick — and I’ll be in your inbox on Thursday morning.
