[Housekeeping] New email address…
UPDATE, 12/20: It worked! I was finally able to add my loudpoet.com email address to my WordPress account, and it’s now tied to my author profile here. Yesterday’s newsletter had it as the “Reply to” address for the first time, so any replies will go there now. It didn’t change the From — donotreply (@) wordpress.com, which is definitely confusing — so it shouldn’t impact deliverability at all.
UPDATE, 7PM: This was sent to subscribers via email as a test, but nothing seems to have changed with the “newsletter” setup so that means Jetpack is hiding that setting somewhere else, because of course they are! It might have to do with me having two Gravatar accounts I’m trying to merge but have to wait 30 days for one of them to be released so I can reclaim it on the other. Grrrr…
I’ve updated some backend settings, moving my website (and other related accounts) to my glecharles (at) loudpoet.com email address.
I’m not sure what impact that will have on a few things, particularly delivery of my “newsletter,” so this is just a test to see if, a) an email goes out as expected; b) which email account it uses; and c) it doesn’t land in everyone’s spam folder.
If you wouldn’t mind replying with a simple, “Received!” so I know this didn’t get lost in the void, I’d appreciate it. Assuming everything worked, I’ll reply, “Thanks!”, delete this post later tonight, and things will go back to the usual schedule.
Fingers crossed…
